Lastpass – Best free Password Manager

I used to be a big fan of Roboform until I was told to pay for more than 10 saved passwords. I found Lastpass which you simply install on your PCs, this then integrates into your web browsers and you can then use all your logins across multiple PCs and even share out Passcards to friends 🙂 – Check it out!

  1. I am a bit doubtful on these online password managers. I don’t like the idea all my online bank account and other personal logins are stored somewhere else. Maybe I am just being compunctious. I guess we are starting to live in a world where all our information is shared and stored freely under thirdparty companies. I don’t like the thought of that.

    • I agree in principal, data is encrypted though. I always check the T&Cs & PCPro etc highly recommended it too. Plus banks use random letters for passwords & I always choose ‘Never save for this site’ if it’s that personal 🙂

    Hi,

Access Manager is a good one. My dad uses it(!) .You can add additional information such as URLs it is used on, hints, hide the password, store for multiple sites and also have multiple accounts on a single computer, with 1 installation.

The encryption used is very very strong. I think it is machine specific encryption, but obviously the backups wouldn’t be.

    Give it a try!
