I use a program called EXT2FSD – Open source ext2/ext3 file system driver for Windows to manage Linux partitions and after some setting up I noticed I couldn’t remove a rogue drive letter in Computer.
You just need to do the following:-
- Uninstall Ext2FSD
- Goto Start, Run, Regedit
- Goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlSession ManagerDOS Devices
- Delete the drive letter (J: in my case) and reboot
The reason was i tried to assign J: as a permanent Fixed point on Windows bootup!
